Christian Business Little Rock at the Capitol

Unexpected Conversations

Today, the most striking conversation of Christian Business Little Rock at the Capitol was with a staff member. First, I inquired about materials that they had online to see if they were public domain. So, he asked where they would be used. I told him that our project was to document Jesus influence in the business world. Then, he said. ‘anything for Jesus’. It caught me off-guard. So, I didn’t reply. And, he said, ‘no, I really mean it’. I really appreciated the comment. And, I appreciate the service from the Capitol staff. In the future, we will use this content from time to time in certain posts and videos.

It’s the 92nd General Assembly Regular Session 2019 at the Arkansas State Capitol. The staff members’ comment came after some conversations, between meetings, with business owners who are Legislators. First, there was a conversation about how to live out your walk with Jesus daily in the business world. It centered around the scripture ‘greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. In fact, that it’s a spiritual battle in the business world. That’s a fundamental piece of Christian Business Little Rock at the Capitol. Another scripture reference is, ‘our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against…evil spirits in Heavenly places’.

Consequently, this conversation was followed by another with a business owner. It was about Moses response at the Red Sea. Because, the children of Israel were stuck between the Red Sea and the Egyptian Army. So, Moses basically said, ‘stand and watch God work’.

Exodus 14:13-14 NLT. But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

The Scripture prompted another conversation with a different business owner who is a Legislator. She said that was exactly what she was studying in her daily devotion. Besides, it’s always fascinating to see how God speaks to each of us. In the same way, His message seems to appear at the same time that we need it.

So, what’s the takeaway from this Christian Business Little Rock at the Capitol post? It might be to ‘stand and watch God be faithful’. It seems that could build your faith in His ability to provide for you daily. Until next time. Shalom
